Thunai is a wearable dementia assist device being developed by
Medline Robotics to support the growing number of families caring
for a loved one with dementia - a condition that already affects
over 55 million people worldwide.
Memory loss makes daily life difficult: patients forget medicines,
meal times, familiar faces, and even the way back to their own home.
Thunai stays with the patient - showing simple colour signals for
familiar and unknown places, announcing the patient's name and
address in emergencies, sending location SMS alerts to caretakers,
and gently reminding them about events, dates, times and the people
connected to them.
